The Utopia of Film, a series assembled by Alexander Horwath, is a sequence of constellations and questions which changed on a monthly basis between 2005 and 2017. Each chapter contains several films. Each of the selected works is capable of standing on its own with its individual richness, but the totality of each chapter also provides a specific context. The Utopia of Film tells a history of films in their relation to each other and to society. Three large fall retrospectives (2004, 2008, 2012) and 103 monthly "chapters" carried this title.
