On November 8, 1975, the Film Museum held the first public screening in a German-speaking country of the uncut, 5-hour version of Hans-Jürgen Syberberg's controversial documentary Winifried Wagner und die Geschichte des Hauses Wahnfried (1975). In the ensuing Q&A session, a passionate debate arose, during which Syberberg (*1935), as evident in this clip, attempted to expound his concept of documentary filmmaking. (In German)
