A multifaceted collection of short film vignettes that are distinguished by the carefully considered precision of their construction, the contemplative stillness of their breath and sharpness of their gaze, and above all by their extraordinary attention to physicality, tactility, and vulnerability. From Antoinette Zwirchmayr's condensed meditations on environment, landscape, and body that bracket this program to Viktoria Schmid's subtle revamping of image-making processes and retooling of the filmic apparatus; from Chloë Delanghe's concentrated exposures of the camera's disconcerting outings as haunted object to Eva Giolo's pensive explorations of the interstices between absence and presence, physicality and materiality, inner and outer worlds: nine films that invite reflection on the sensitive relationships between beings and objects, the process of filmmaking, and the uncertainties in creation, balance, and composition.
