Cinematic glimpses of the starry sky seen from a human perspective throughout film history: a concept film that grows longer with each screening to integrate examples from 1895 to the present and in turn absorbs part of its subject matter – infinity. Sitting in the cinema, we look at white dots on a black background, light and shadow. Our own gaze turns inward and question its very conditions, simultaneously projecting on it how these conditions have changed over the course of film history: traversing every aspect ratio, including a range of qualities from early film grain to high-definition seas of pixels and the silence of early cinema to the soundscapes of the digital present.
