Film as Rhythm

Age 8 to 11
In cinema moving images are assembled in order to form rhythmical compositions. Metrics, montage and the cinema apparatus itself create singular patterns which are a form of visual music. Dancing images, sounding colors, music and even the filmstrip itself bring us closer to the musicality of film. The focus will be on experimental film and will sensitize us for film as a sensual experience. Fireworks of form, color, sound and image. There will be dancing on the screen, we will clap in the rhythm of images and in the end the film's spark will ignite the passion for cinema.
