Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby

Born on the backseat of a racing car, Ricky Bobby is living his father's motto: "If you ain't first, you're last." A rocket like rise in NASCAR-racing is followed by a free fall and the entrance of his nemesis, French Formula 1 driver Jean Girard. Adam McKay's and Will Ferrell's comedies are hysterical, inane and loud. Nevertheless they are also full of tender love for their characters. Talladega Nights is the tire-screeching response to America's dream of speed, individualism, success and the big question how to hold your hands during a TV-interview.
